- Cialis and Contraindications: Nitrates
Patients who use any form of organic nitrate either regularly and/or intermittently should not use Cialis. Clinical pharmacology studies have shown that tadalafil potentiates the hypotensive effect of nitrates. - Cialis and Contraindications: Alpha Blockers
Patients taking any alpha-adrenergic antagonist other than 0.4 mg once-daily tamsulosin should not take Cialis. The drug-drug interaction studies demonstrated a significant augmentation of the blood-pressure-lowering effect of doxazosin when tadalafil 20 mg was administered to healthy subjects taking the latter (8 mg daily). - Cialis and Contraindications: Hypersensitivity
Patients with hypersensitivity to tadalafil or any component of the tablet should not take Cialis.
